Product Information Management (PIM) quick wins

Product Information Management (PIM) quick wins

  |   White Papers

Why is optimising your Product data critical?

Products or Services are the backbone of most companies revenue streams. Mergers and Acquisitions, new processes, new IT systems and legacy issues however can all be inhibitors to leveraging your product data for corporate advantage. Leaders in Product Information Management (PIM) typically have a single version of the truth detailing all of the products and services in their range and describing key attributes. This is typically then used for improving product search, margin analysis, Management Information Reporting and other requirements.

What options are available?

In our free white paper we detail 3 patterns which many organisations follow for successful PIM initiatives as well as some of the classic mistakes organisations make and how to avoid these.

London Info International

  |   Events

Data to Value had a great couple of days exhibiting at London Info International 2014.  The annual event brings together leading Unstructured Information Management vendors, practitioners and other professionals.  This year it featured an interesting cross section of pharmaceuticals, medical, publishing and copywriting professionals amongst others.

The highlight for us was the final keynote speech on the golden age of text mining.  Some really interesting ideas were discussed such as organisations or departments training internal Text Mining Champions.  This chimes really well with the automation techniques we are applying to traditional Metadata Management and Data Governance requirements for Data Dictionaries, Business Glossaries and other types of metadata repository.

We very much look forward to attending next year.
